On January 12, 2013, former USC Gamecock pitching great Michael Roth appeared at a fund raiser for the South Aiken High Athletic Booster Club. Mr. Roth spoke in the school's cafeteria and signed autographs for those in attendance. Mr. Roth led the University of South Carolina baseball team to back-to-back National Championships.
