The first three weeks of May brought spring football practice at Fox Creek High School, where Russell Schneider is back in his role as the Predators' head coach. He and his peers faced the challenge of having some key players still out, due to injury or their participation in the soccer or baseball programs, which were in the playoffs.

The 2013 Lobster Races (29th annual) were held on May 3, on Newberry Street in downtown Aiken under cloudy and threatening skies. Besides the Lobster Races, there was plenty of other entertainment plus food and drink for the thousands of people that attended. Three bands and a DJ provided the musical entertainment for the evening. There were also plenty of rides and activities for the kids. The photos in this gallery should show a little of everything that happened.

North Augusta High School's 2013 prom was held Saturday evening, April 27, with the North Augusta municipal center as the host site. This year's theme was "Enchanted Forest," and the king and queen were Alex Picciano and Tori Wise.
